In 2019, we chose to build our own sock development mill at our on-site facility at the Minus33 headquarters in Ashland, NH. Bringing some of our sock manufacturing back to the original L.W. Packard mill site allows the sock development team to be more directly involved in the design process, quality control, and lets us be hands-on with the final product every step of the way. In 2020, we were able to release our first NH-made collection, The Mountain Heritage Collection. In 2022, we released our Mountain Heritage Elite line so we could make New Hampshire-made ski and snowboard socks. Utilizing our 100+ years in textile and wool industry expertise to the fullest, we have created what we believe is a sock as unique and durable as the mountains they're named after.

Merino wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Merino wool socks are naturally elastic, allowing them to stretch to your movements. At the fiber level, wool has a natural crimp which helps it bend to move, and then return to its initial shape.

Merino wool socks are natural and can be composted with minimal waste when the end of their lives are reached, or can easily be recycled to create other wool products.

Mountain Heritage Elite Snowboard Socks

The Mountain Heritage Elite Snowboard Socks are available in Light Cushion and All Season Lightweight. The Light Cushion only has cushioning in the toe and heel allowing a thin and minimal feel. The All Season Lightweight is the warmest of this collection, with insulation padding throughout the whole sock. Both MH Elite Snowboard Socks have padded shin and calf zones, and padding along the ankle, to protect from friction.
